parents' feedback

Over the years, we have recieved a lot of positive feedback from the parents of our pupils. The most recent feedback notes are shown below.

"Alice has thoroughly enjoyed her ballet lessons and it has helped her make new friends, encouraged her to learn how to concentrate before starting nursery school, and she clearly loves her half hour of moving to beautiful piano music as much as I enjoy watching her and all the other little ballerinas! It is my favourite half hour of the working week without doubt."

"My 5 year old daughter, Laura, has been coming to ABC Ballet since she was 2 and has loved every minute of it. It has really improved her balance and co-ordination; her ability to listen to and follow instructions as part of a group and her love of dancing. Most of all she has fun, with imaginative play built into the classes and a wonderful performance involving all the school age groups which has given Laura her first taste of proper performance (and fantastic costumes).

As a cautious, slightly shy child I feel Laura has particularly benefited in terms of self confidence and self expression. Alison is an outstanding teacher - balancing enjoyment and humour with an emphasis on concentration, courtesy and good behaviour from her pupils which is admirable. Overall I cannot recommend ABC highly enough. In Laura's own words 'I want to keep on going to Miss Alison's classes until I'm a grown up!'"

"As a parent, I can see a transformation in my daughter, who has recently joined the ABC ballet school. She feels motivated and inspired. On first joining the school, Both Ela and I were slightly anxious - but as soon as Ela arrived for her first lesson, she was welcomed and encouraged - and this approach has continued. I am delighted to recommend the ABC Ballet School. By that I really mean its principal Miss Alison. She is a truly gifted teacher."

"Over the years particularly during the rehearsals of her fantastic shows, I have been lucky enough to have spent whole afternoons watching Miss Alison teach through several age groups. She is pitch perfect in her ability to teach each year. She manages to encourage the tiniest dancer to master their 'good toes, naughty toes' routine to choreographing the tallest boy into performing solo to a crowd of hundreds or bringing tears to a mother's eyes with a moving pas de deux.

Both my sons have been pupils with Miss Alison. My eldest was one in her first batch of pupils. During his teens his football, volleyball and tennis coaches have all commented on his physical poise and asked if he has ever done ballet. It shows! I would especially like to encourage other boys to give it a go: I think it is a beautiful form of dance and one which they will certainly remember forever."

"My daughter has been enjoying ballet with Miss Alison since the age of 4. She is now 16! I was concerned that she would find dancing too much with her studying for GCSE's this year but she actually finds dancing helps her relax.

During the recent holidays, when there was a break in lessons, she said she felt miserable, as she wasn't dancing. She has also been encouraging her friends to start ballet with her."

"What I like about the ABC Ballet School is that the school runs lessons on a regular, reliable and professional basis.

The school is skilled at combining fun and respect with the discipline required of its pupils. The school is also very responsive to parents' enquiries and a prompt response is always guaranteed!"
